As NBID continues to invest in the depositor experience for your customers, we are excited to share a series of upgrades rolling out to the NBID Depositor Portal beginning Wednesday, June 23rd, with additional enhancements following in July.
The enhancements will shortly allow NBID bank members to:
1.
Further customize your Depositor Portal to match your brand, including logos, custom URLs, and colors. This follows NBID’s founding thesis that Insured Sweep Accounts are your bank’s own product offering, not a third-party vendor’s.
2.
Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), if desired, for depositor logins.
In preparation for the future upgrades, on June 23rd, every depositor at your institution will be migrated onto an improved sign-in experience. All depositors will receive an email that morning from support@nbid.com inviting them to reset their password before resuming portal access. If your institution has opted into MFA for your Insured Sweep Account depositor base, your customers will also be prompted to enroll in MFA on first sign-in using either Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) or SMS. To opt into MFA for your depositors, please reach out to your Regional Director.
To prepare your depositors for conversion, NBID will send a series of brief communications to account holders ahead of June 23rd outlining what to expect and the actions they will need to take.
For any questions on this process, please reach out to your Regional Director or support@nbid.com.

NBID LLC is not a bank. Deposit insurance covers the failure of insured institutions, not NBID. Deposits are placed at FDIC-insured network institutions and are eligible for pass-through insurance up to $250,000 per institution. Certain conditions must be satisfied for “pass-through” FDIC deposit insurance coverage to apply. A list of participating banks appears at nbid.com/bank-list.
