Depositor Portal Self-Service Invites
FI administrators can now assign depositor users with User Manager permissions, enabling customers to extend and manage access for their own Insured Sweep Accounts through self-service functionality in the Depositor Portal. Admins still retain full visibility and control over user access to depositor accounts. |

Multi-Depositor Users
Alongside self-service depositor invites, new functionality now enables Admins (and depositor User Managers) to extend a single user across multiple depositors. This means that a single individual can have access to both their personal and a business accounts under a single login while maintaining federated allocation and insurance treatment per TIN*. Adding a user to a new depositor makes them a “Shared User” for the secondary depositor, extending their existing permissions to the secondary depositor’s accounts. |

September Fed Meeting Preview
The Federal Open Market Committee meets September 15 to 16, with the rate decision due September 16 at 2:00pm ET, followed by Chair Kevin Warsh's press conference. Markets now price roughly even odds of a quarter-point hike, up sharply from about one-in-three before Chair Warsh's Jackson Hole remarks in late August, where he called underlying inflation trends "not meaningfully improved" and said the Fed still has "work to do." The July meeting already showed cracks in committee unity, with three members dissenting in favor of a hike. Two data releases will shape the tone heading in: the August jobs report on September 4, which came in better than expected, and August CPI on September 11. |

FDIC Adopts Interim Final Rule on Reciprocal Deposits
On August 27, the FDIC Board approved an interim final rule implementing Section 902 of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, and it took effect September 1. The rule replaces the old flat cap with a tiered, liability-based calculation, 50% of the first $1 billion in total liabilities, 40% from $1 billion to $10 billion, and 30% from $10 billion up to a $30 billion ceiling, and broadens the definition of "agent institution" to include well-capitalized banks rated CAMELS 1, 2, or 3. The FDIC is accepting public comment on the rule through October 1. |

*NBID LLC is not a bank. Deposit insurance covers the failure of insured institutions, not NBID. Deposits are placed at FDIC-insured network institutions and are eligible for pass-through insurance up to $250,000 per institution. Certain conditions must be satisfied for “pass-through” FDIC deposit insurance coverage to apply. A list of participating banks appears at https://www.nbid.com/bank-list.
