WHY MISSOURI BANKS CHOOSE NBID
Fair pricing
Legacy networks often charge 10–15 bps. NBID’s 2–5 bps pricing means significant savings you can reinvest in your bank.

Product innovation
Your customers stay yours. NBID provides a depositor portal branded to your bank, can embed in your digital banking experience, and has pioneered real-time reciprocal transactions, with no T+1 delay.

Superior service
As a bank-owned network, NBID wins when you win. Your Regional Director is an extension of your team, from onboarding to deposit targets and ongoing sessions focused on your goals.

Bank alignment
Unlike legacy networks that are mostly private equity owned, NBID is owned by its member banks, who have oversight of their critical infrastructure, are eligible for a profit share, and form the majority of the Board.
IN THEIR WORDS
PRODUCT UPDATES
NBID Pioneers Real-Time Transaction Handling for the Reciprocal Deposit Market

This innovation, delivered through NBID’s suite of next-generation core integrations, ensures depositors no longer lose days of interest. NBID has moved the roughly $500bn reciprocal market from T+1 to T accrual, a major milestone for the U.S. banking system.

The new capability allows depositors at member banks to earn interest on the same day they deposit funds, which has historically been missed by the T+1 processing offered by the integrations of most providers. The technology development was led by ModernFi, NBID’s network operator.

WHAT WE'RE WATCHING
FDIC Finalizes Reciprocal Deposit Rule Update

On September 1st, the FDIC published an interim final rule updating its reciprocal deposit regulations to conform with the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. The rule took effect immediately, and comments were due October 1st.

Examiners Pointed Toward Material Financial Risk

A final joint OCC and FDIC rule defines “unsafe or unsound practices” for the first time and directs examiners to focus on material financial risks. Documentation and process weaknesses alone no longer support a Matter Requiring Attention. Without a link to material financial harm, they are treated as observations. The rule takes effect November 2nd.

Proposal Would Ease Sharing of Confidential Supervisory Information

The OCC and FDIC proposed letting banks share confidential exam information with trusted business partners under a confidentiality agreement, without first asking the regulator. The comment period closed October 5th, and the agencies will now review the comments.

*NBID LLC is not a bank. Deposit insurance covers the failure of insured institutions, not NBID. Deposits are placed at FDIC-insured network institutions and are eligible for pass-through insurance up to $250,000 per institution. Certain conditions must be satisfied for “pass-through” FDIC deposit insurance coverage to apply. A list of participating banks appears at https://www.nbid.com/bank-list.
